THE PERSON
As a Combination Technician, you will serve as a key front-line representative of the company by installing, repairing, and maintaining business and residential telephone and internet services delivered to the customers’ premise.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This position provides superior customer experiences by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing telephone and broadband services for residential and business customers. This position provides support for fiber, copper and fixed wireless technologies. This full-time position reports daily to our Conway Springs office.
As a Combination Tech you will:
Install business and residential telephone and internet services, including customer-premise equipment and wiring.
Interface with central office and other related equipment.
Maintain business and residential services by troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing customer -premises equipment, wiring, and plant facilities. Complete necessary repairs to fully resolve problems in a timely manner.
Assist in various plant facility changes, repairs, and upgrades to support plant operations, such as installing upgrades, repairing facilities, equipment, and performing other maintenance services.
Prepare documentation to provide accurate plant records and billing data such as recording work performed, maintaining logs, closing service orders and trouble tickets, maintaining time records, and maintaining plant records.
Educate customers and recommend service enhancements.
Assist customers in connecting WiFi enabled products to their network. Assist them with remote and local management of network enabled devices.
Provide basic troubleshooting and support of LAN/WAN networks at business customer premises.
Establish and maintain positive public relations by effectively communicating with customers.
Interact with customers to understand their service issues and individual service needs.
Locate and maintain buried copper and fiber lines.
Rotate emergency on call for nights and weekends
Support the company by completing other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Haviland Broadband is a culture-centric company that looks for the right person to put in the right seat. Preference will be given to applicants who have 3+ years’ technical experience in a telecommunications or IT position. Clean driving record is required.
